Still in a Nook

I have always spelt it as ‘barbeque’ until today. So ashamed of myself, I can’t proclaim to be English proficient anymore….

Yep yep so last month the DGT girlies organised a barbecue near Jiahui’s house. I was late so I didn’t get to help in the preparation. But I was so blown away by what the girls had come up with. It was like something the Society of Barbecue Professionals would do. We had very nicely marinated pork, glistening honey-glazed chicken wings, asparagus and mushrooms wrapped in bacon, chicken + capsicum + tomato kebabs, and a whole lot of other obligatory barbecue items.

The night was a success!!! However I feel abit paranoid.

Are we becoming aunties already?? I thought only mothers hold successful barbecues!!! (FYI Jiahui even prepared assorted fruit salad mixed with yoghurt later on) The kids a.k.a WE just sit there and wait for the food, or get in everyone’s way, right? What are we going to do now that we can start a fire so easily???? NOOOOOO
