My mother was telling me about a conversation she had with my aunties.
(In Chinese)
Them: Eh so what your daughter working as now ah?
Mum: Oh, she’s a interactive media designer…
Them: Hmm.. aiya… never mind la (?????????) … 行行出状元啦…
SERIOUSLY????
Why say until like I working as mortuary make up artist!!! What “never mind la…” OMG I’m so annoyed lah.
Adults. Hai. So now I am into my 3,5724th round of having-job-i-enjoy-versus-having-degree talk with my mother.
It’s like how when I tell them I’m in the hospitality line, they go ???? and then say, “Now hospitals need people.”
Honestly, sometimes I think that adults are the ones who should go learn something and not us.
omgggggggg so irritatingggggg arghhh. adults… sometimes it’s just pointless talking to them. they’ll never get it anyway.
