Still in a Nook

I had the fortune to have two arrogant xiao mei mei ah lians sitting behind me in the bus today.

They were horrible. Probably in Secondary Two at most? Wearing mini skirts and cheap-looking clothes that tweenagers love to buy. They were talking in the typical full-of-swearing Ah Lian mode, while eating potato chips.

At one moment one of the girls made some really loud remark so I turned back and looked at them. Without any of them daring to look at me back in the eye, one girl mumbled under her breath, “See what see…”. I was too bored to entertain them so I turned back to face the front.

And after I did that, all of a sudden their courage came back and they started to speak very loudly, “Wah lao, anyhow like that look at people for what sia!”

I didn’t really want to reply and let the whole bus see a 20 year-old girl slapping a xiao mei mei, so I continued to SMS and stuff.

(Why is it that I always meet such people? Sheesh! At least have some good quality hair dye job before talking to me can.)

When they were alighting in front of me (I was sitting at the exit door seat), they gave me those quick glances pretending to be fierce glares. I was really bored so I stared at them all the way until they made their way down the bus, and sure enough, neither of them could hold their heads up.

Just when the bus was about to move again, I saw that the two girls were still standing at the bus stop looking and muttering at me, presumably trying to be menacing but ending up looking like retards instead.
