It is a rare occasion when my family goes out to ‘gai gai’ or even just to eat together. But anyway today my parents and I (without my NS-serving brother) went to Chinatown to gai-gai. The folks were musing alots on the major differences that Chinatown underwent. Ladida. Middle-aged people… heehee.
My father bought me a gold chain. ><
Hai. I wish I can go out with my parents more often (not because of gold chains lah)… although the places they go to usually aren’t where I would frequent, it’s still okay-fun to walk around.
Gahh… why are Singapore clothes so expensive to buy? Even in Chinatown where things are supposed to be cheap, I found myself staring at $29 tags on not-so-nice tops and bottoms. $40 for a bag that probably cost $5 to make. Wow.
And yes, I shouldn’t have went to Hong Kong or Taiwan, because even now, I am still mindfucked by the cheap prices there. I would keep telling myself subconsciously, “Hong Kong’s prices would be cheaper”…”I can get prettier clothes in Taiwan”…
Ah shit shit shit! Why is everything in Singapore so expensive?!
